Who Invented the Lightbulb?

The Lightbulb was invented by Sir Humprhy Davy in 1800,

and his design has been improved along the history.

Humphry invented the lightbulb with platinum filament,

but his design didnt long too much, but it was the precedent behind the efforts of scores of experimenters over the next 75 years until Thomas Edison`s creation.

Who invented the incandescent lamp?

Historians list 22 inventors of incandescent lamps
before Edison. But the edison lightbulb was the most succesful because it hadfilaments that long more than the other bulbs and it was smaller.

What is a lightbulb?

It is a source of artificial light that works by incandescence(it is a general term for heat). An electrical Current passes passes through
a thin filament, heating it till it produces light, A glass bulb protects those filaments because oxygen could oxydate them easily destroying it.

This person we see in the photo is Thomas Alva Edison, the person that changed the lifestle of all the persons. Everyone says that he was the one that invented the lightbulb, but the thing is that he redisigned the lightbulb, creating a more lasting lightbulb with more resistent filaments than the first person that invented the lightbulb and all the other persons that also redisigned it. He was american and he has 1,093 patents in his name.

Here we can see a video of how a lightbulb works:

A brief summary of what they said on the video:

The lightbulb is simple, yet, brilliant. It was invented in the late 1800s, and it has amazingly changed a lot. It works using a simple circuit and the most important thing is the filaments, it is in the center of the bulb and it is made of a long thin piece of tungsten metal wich has a high melting temperature. When the bulb is conected to a power supply, the electrons travel along the circuit and continuosly bump into the filament causing them to vibrate. The atoms heat up at about 2200 degrees and then the bulb explodes.
